Hi!
I am Cathy Alessandra, and I have been there! I myself have struggled with juggling my business and family, with being over committed and overwhelmed – and suffering “SuperMom Fatigue”. For over 15 years, I have been a mompreneur while raising three kids, now ages 13, 15 and 17.
My first company, What’s Up For Kids LLC was launched out of my desire to be a mompreneur and a need in my community! There was no resource dedicated to families and what was going on around town for them! When I launched What’s Up For Kids in 1995, I had 2 of my 3 children and I wanted to create something fun and exciting from a home-based office – AND be able to work as much or as little as I wanted!
That company is now a successful six figure business and publishes a full color glossy magazine, produces 4 annual kids expos in Southern California, boasts 2 websites (www.whatsupforkids.com and www.GotSummerCamp.com) – and is a lot of fun!
But in the summer of 2008, I had hit a MOJO low! And it was time to do something about it!! I decided to follow another passion, uplevel my business and ROCK WITH MOJO! In February of 2009, I launched the National Association of Entrepreneur Moms, a community of like-minded individuals and now a leading business association for mompreneurs! I created NAOEM to be the type of association that is needed – and wanted – by successful mompreneurs!
